Joel's love for woodworking started at an early age when he built him and his friends a treehouse from reclaimed lumber. Being only 7 years old at the time, he took all the measurements and had his dad make all the cuts. And with a grandfather who was a talented woodworker, I guess the skill ran in his blood. Joel attended Michigan State University, where he studied Horticulture and Turfgrass management. Having a background in plants, has helped the woodworking process by understanding how to "read" the wood. He continues to love the process of taking boards and creating something that his clients love!
